Downsize This!

Buceando en cierta librería inglesa-cafetería-bar de copas-lugar de intercambio de idiomas, de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme, por no hacer publicidad gratis, encontré cierto libro del combativo Michael Moore (ese gran gordo, como dice Sabina) titulado ‘Downsize this!’, donde el crítico y criticado director americano hace un nuevo repaso sobre la estulticia que infecta su país, siempre, eso sí, desde su corrosivo sentido del humor, el cual me obligó a reírme en voz alta y provocó en determinado y angustioso momento el que casi me atragantara con mi Earl Grey.

En cierto capítulo, se dedica a recopilar grandes perlas de políticos (tanto republicanos como demócratas) y empresarios poderosos. En un gran apartado de honor de dedicado a George W. Bush me encontré con tamaña reflexión y con la consiguiente réplica del tito Moore.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that one of my fantasies has always been to see George Bush Jr. assimilating with a bunch of Zulus. So yes, Georgie, I would like to have a million Zulus move into your Texas neighborhood. In fact, unlike you, I have a very simple immigration police for the entire country: let everyone except bigots like you.
